MARINE main cable, to which the corresponding diagnostic cables are connected. The cable can be identified by its black cap with LED indicators. It is equipped with two connectors: a 2-pin connector (for possible external power supply) and a 4-pin connector (communication interface).

USE AS A BASE CABLE (e.g. AM01 + AM02):
Connect the diagnostic cable for the relevant brand (e.g. AM02) to the 4-pin connector. If required by the software, connect the power clamps to the 2-pin connector. Then connect the clamps to the engine battery to power the diagnostic tool.

WARNING: The AM01 cable is the base cable for most brands; however, it does not support specific functions and communication protocols. It must not be confused with the AM01 CAN cable, which is very similar but has a dedicated label and a red cap.

Always follow the software instructions regarding the use of the base cable, the required diagnostic cable and any external power supply.
